Debell Publishing was established in 2003. We have a dedicated team of journalists as well as our regular contributors (see writers). Below is some information about our key personnel.
Julian Robinson
Founder and Senior Writer
Julian has been a journalist since 1981 and he is recognised as a leading writer on politics, travel and sport.
In 1983 he joined Parliamentary News Services, a news agency in the UK Houses of Parliament and has been a lobby correspondent ever since. In 1997 he was instrumental in creating ParliamentToday, an online service providing tailored Parliamentary monitoring for clients in all industries.
All the while, Julian has been writing on travel, sport and theatre for trade and technical publications.
In 2003 he founded Debell Publishing to act as a link between journalists and publications.
Rob Charles
Manager
Rob had dreams of becoming an actor turned designer, turned web developer. But his real skill is in organisation. He is instrumental in organising trips for our travel writers – as well as making sure that writers are paid on time!
Sue Estelle
Senior writer
Sue has travelled all over the world and worked in Australia and America before settling down in London. Before specialising in travel writing, she focussed her attention on theatre, culture and entertainment. She is also a regular contributor to ParliamentToday.
Simon Millet
Senior writer
Simon’s true love is sport. He has spent most of his working life with a tennis racquet in one hand and a pen in the other. He has been a member of the Debell team since 2011, writing on all sports issues, travel and entertainment. If a hotel or restaurant review is required, Simon is our go-to guy.
